Syra, a Black Lab

This pattern was probably the most challenging I've done so far. Getting a solid black dog to take on shape and dimension was difficult. Luckily, I found a wonderful dog on the Internet to make this pattern from. You can visit Syra to read more about her and see more of her photos.

Syra is stitched on 28ct Dove Gray Monaco from Charles Craft. The color sets off her dark shading. Design size is 86w X 90h stitches. Seven colors are used of DMC cotton floss.
