Meet the
Artist
So who is Pegg Thomas from Twin Willows
Farm? I am a wife, mother and shepherd who lives in
northeastern lower Michigan.
My background in is drafting and design, but my heart is in
my animals
and fiber arts. Here is a photo taken at the Northern
Michigan Lamb
and Wool Festival on September 28th, 2003.
The wheel I'm spinning on is a
Majacraft Suzie, my
one and only wheel. I've owned two other wheels, but none fit
me as
well as this Suzie. She's made for producing a lot of yarn with little
wear
and tear on the operator.
The sweater vest I'm wearing is made of
a natural
colored Romney fleece, hand spun and hand knitted by myself.
I rarely
purchase fleece anymore, but the occasional urge to spin some nice
Romney
catches up to me. The socks are knitted of some Kool-Aid dyed
Border
Leicester fleece. What I am spinning is a ball of Hog Island
roving
that I bought on a whim to try it out.
