For those who don't want to knit in the round, here are three
variations of two needle socks. this does give the knitter a unique
choice to make the soles a different color from the tops, and would make
re-knitting a sole (instead of mending a holey one) quite easy to do. Both
heels and toes are turned using short rows.
1) Ribbed leg variation with contrasting toe, sole and heel
2) Cable Braid variation with contrasting toes, heels
3) Charted variation (chart included in pattern)
